Nail of The Day: Essie Ladylike and Shine of The Times

So, firstly, I hope you're all ready for tomorrow? A very Merry Christmas Eve to you all!!
This post contains a plethora of crappy pictures. I took them last night as I couldn't wait to show you all what an AMAZING effect these two babies give when paired up!!

I've used two new additions to my collection, both Essie and both equally incredible.

I'm afraid I didn't get pictures of them seperately (Duh!!) - I'll do this next time, but first up... it's "Lady Like"

This was also reviewed by the amazing Vivianna from "Vivianna Does Make up". What a beautiful lady eh?! She reviewed "Lady Like" here and made me want to order it that very moment. Doesn't it look fantastic with the glitters!?!?!?!? This will be my next NOTD!

Shine of the Times is up next. This has to be my new, all time favourite, nail polish. It's incredible! A million flecks of beautiful multi-tonal glitz which all reflect and match what's underneath! You can't quite see from these pictures how amazing it really is!!

What do you guys think?

Nail of The Day: Nails Inc. Lily and High Society

It's been some time since I posted about the other members of the Gossip Girl collection (Serena and Blair) so I thought I'd finish off the series with the third polish by Nails Inc.

The Lily Collection is a special effects duo which includes a beautiful plum black Lily nail polish and High Society red and green overglaze top coat.

It gives the most wonderful effect which would look amazing with a matte top coat - I'm yet to invest in one of these but I'll be sure to update you when I do!!!

What do you think of Lily/High Society?

Nail of The Day: The Gel Edition

Nope, I'm not about to go all "TOWIE" on you...
Geddit? Gel-s? No? Ok....
Today I got my first gel nail extensions - I'm so pleased with them and thought id share whilst I'm waiting for my chinese takeaway to be delivered! (Gutsy Saturday night - woop).

Sorry in advance for the teeny tiny pictures - they keep going all blurry when i try to re-size them *unhappy face*

I've used falsies before, but only with a cheap extension kit from Asda (would you believe it?!) - i reviewed them here if you're interested. I'm used to having long nails and usually my natural nails are so strong that I can grow them  to a fairly nice length...

I say usually - they've been very brittle lately, I think it may be due to stress.I thought I'd have some gel extensions so that my natural nails grow underneath - good plan noh? I'm terrified of snapping one though, I'm sure it'd be pretty painful - ill be as careful as possible eh?

Got a little glitter as i was feeling festive - i wanted them to be natural though so not too much. What do you think? Likey? No likey?

Nail of The Day: Nails Inc. Blair and Priviledged

Second in my "Nails Inc" series is the "Blair" collection - another from their recent "Gossip Girl" release.

(I apologise for the picture heavy post... and the layout... my editing software has died!)

I'm glad the pictures captured the Teal Green colour to this... you have to look real close, but it's not quite black!

How gorgeous are these green flecks? SCRUMMY!

What do you think of the Blair Collection? Yay or Nay?

Nail of The Day: Nails Inc. - Serena and It Girl

Nails Inc have recently released a series of "Gossip Girl" polish collections. Being a total maniac... I threw caution to the wind and ordered all three to try them out - I absolutely LOVED the look of them after seeing various press releases and I'm so glad I did!

A quick side note: All of these polishes, along with EVERYTHING else I review/post on Cookies and Blush have been paid for with my own hard earned pennies. Just incase you were wondering!

This is my favourite out of the three, the Serena collection!

(I apologise for the picture heavy post... and the layout... my editing software has died!)

What do Nails Inc say?

"Using hand cut particles, overglaze top coats will give your nails a futuristic finish which is bang on trend for this season. Applied over a deep glossy nails inc polish, overglaze provides a unique and exciting look for your nails."

It's pretty tough to tell that there's any difference between the three dark polishes, "Serena" is a patent black polish with the most fantastic finish - a one coater and shiny as you can get!

(Please excuse the messy manicure *embarassing*)

"It Girl" is the most BEAUTIFUL overglaze... with those gorgeous blue flecks of glitter. Amazing! This happens to be my favourite colour and the cobalt blue particles really show up against the black background. Well done Nails Inc! I will be wearing this to death!!

Have any of you guys tried these so far? What do you think?

Wishlist: Zoya

I've been desperate to get my hands on some Zoya nail polishes recently - I haven't managed to find any in the UK so far and the shipping from America etc. is terribly expensive....

Boo Hoo :o(

Personally I blame the beautiful Cris at "Let Them Have Polish" for this obsession... she always has the most wonderful Zoya posts!!!

To prevent myself from throwing myself off a bridge with Zoya envy, I thought I'd compile a new wishlist, dedicated to Zoya to ensure that my obsession is abated!

Let's start with the new fall collection - "Smoke and Mirrors". I love the pretty moss green and the shimmery pinks - yummy yum yum!!!

Codie (ZP566) - smoky brown taupe nail polish cream
Anja (ZP567) - smoky palatinate purple nail polish cream
Cynthia (ZP568) - smoky Prussian blue nail polish cream
Dree (ZP569) - smoky camouflage green nail polish cream

Zoya Nail Polish: Mirrors Collection (metallic nail polish)
Nimue (ZP570) - smoky rich thistle mauve nail polish metallic
Marina (ZP571) - smoky steel blue nail polish metallic
Tao (ZP572) - smoky slate gray nail polish metallic
Yara (ZP573) - sparkly olive green nail polish metallic
Neeka (ZP574) - sparkly amethyst purple nail polish metallic
Jem (ZP575) - sparkly fandango pink nail polish metallic

The Zoya "Touch" collection is also a must have. Look at the lovely nudes - ooooo!!!

To repair my battered nails, I definitely need this baby in my life too. It sounds absolutely amazing!

Zoya Color Lock System Kit Contains:

1 - 8oz Zoya Remove Plus in the Big Flipper Container
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Anchor Base Coat
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Get Even Ridge Filling Base Coat
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Zoya Armor Top Coat
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Fast Drops Polish Drying Drops
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Renew Nail Polish Rejuvinator

I suppose that's it for now... I've tried to tear myself away from the website for now so that I don't go and book flights to America to have a massive Z shopping spree!!!!!

What's your favourite nail polish? Any suggestions for UK sellers would be most welcome.

PS: How many times can I say "Zoya" in one post!?

Nail Of The Day: O.P.I - Skull & Glossbones and O.P.I - Need Sunglasses

Yet another nail of the day... I'm sure you're sick of them now but it pleases me to write about my new found love for all things nail polish!!!

I finally used my Skull and Glossbones from O.P.I's Pirates of the Caribbean range - WEHEY!!

As part of our month long "nail varnish pact" - my colleague and friend Lil also used one of her favourite O.P.I polishes - "Need Sunglasses?". Isn't it fantastically summery?

By the time I'd been able to take the above picture, I'd already adapted my manicure as it was on it's last legs... after 4 days...

I put some of my new China Glaze grey Crackle polish (Cracked Concrete) over the top, you can see it here.

I'm not sure what to think of this, it kind of looks like lizard skin - or is that just me? Maybe I'll apply it a bit more sparingly next time to make sure the crackles are further apart.

Still love it though!

What do you think?

You name it - I watch it!!

So as you can guess, when I heard they were creating a nail polish line with "Nicole" at OPI - I was beyond excited. My poor colleague Lil has had to listen to me talking about it ALLLLLLLLLLL DAYYYYYY!

Kourtney, Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Kylie and Kendall Jenner – are known for their head-to-toe unique style and multiple clothing/beauty/perfume/shoe lines... now they have an OPI line to add to their collection!!

OPI says - “We are so excited to work with everyone’s favorite TV family – the Kardashians – to share a diverse collection of fashion-forward shades,” declares Suzi Weiss-FischmannNicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “With lacquers ranging from high-shine and sparkly hues to neutral taupe and pinkish coral, Kardashian Kolors offers the perfect accessory for every woman – from teens to moms and everyone in between.”

Of course they're excited to work with them!!!
