Wishlist: Zoya

I've been desperate to get my hands on some Zoya nail polishes recently - I haven't managed to find any in the UK so far and the shipping from America etc. is terribly expensive....

Boo Hoo :o(

Personally I blame the beautiful Cris at "Let Them Have Polish" for this obsession... she always has the most wonderful Zoya posts!!!

To prevent myself from throwing myself off a bridge with Zoya envy, I thought I'd compile a new wishlist, dedicated to Zoya to ensure that my obsession is abated!

Let's start with the new fall collection - "Smoke and Mirrors". I love the pretty moss green and the shimmery pinks - yummy yum yum!!!

Jana (ZP564) - smoky mauve nail polish quartz cream
Petra (ZP565) - smoky eggplant mauve nail polish cream
Codie (ZP566) - smoky brown taupe nail polish cream
Anja (ZP567) - smoky palatinate purple nail polish cream
Cynthia (ZP568) - smoky Prussian blue nail polish cream
Dree (ZP569) - smoky camouflage green nail polish cream

Zoya Nail Polish: Mirrors Collection (metallic nail polish)
Nimue (ZP570) - smoky rich thistle mauve nail polish metallic
Marina (ZP571) - smoky steel blue nail polish metallic
Tao (ZP572) - smoky slate gray nail polish metallic
Yara (ZP573) - sparkly olive green nail polish metallic
Neeka (ZP574) - sparkly amethyst purple nail polish metallic
Jem (ZP575) - sparkly fandango pink nail polish metallic

The Zoya "Touch" collection is also a must have. Look at the lovely nudes - ooooo!!!

To repair my battered nails, I definitely need this baby in my life too. It sounds absolutely amazing!

Zoya Color Lock System Kit Contains:

1 - 8oz Zoya Remove Plus in the Big Flipper Container
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Anchor Base Coat
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Get Even Ridge Filling Base Coat
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Zoya Armor Top Coat
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Fast Drops Polish Drying Drops
1 - 0.5oz Zoya Renew Nail Polish Rejuvinator

I suppose that's it for now... I've tried to tear myself away from the website for now so that I don't go and book flights to America to have a massive Z shopping spree!!!!!

What's your favourite nail polish? Any suggestions for UK sellers would be most welcome.

PS: How many times can I say "Zoya" in one post!?

The World's Most Powerful Women: Beyonce

Those of you who know me will have already realised that I'm a huge Beyonce fan. I've already written about her once here, and have managed to resist writing about her many more times since - I don't want to bore anyone with my sad ramblings!

However, this is different. Who better to start my "World's Most Powerful Women" series with than the beautiful Beyonce herself? As my idol, she was the first on my list.

I apologise now for the picture heavy post.

Beyonce isn't just a vocal artist. Oh no. Add business woman, choreographer, director, producer, perfumista, fashion designer, film star, model, Charity worker, Grammy Award winner, wife and sister to her list of successes. And that's just the beginning.

Throughout her career, Beyonce has received numerous awards and achievements. In 2007, she became the first female artist to be awarded the International Artist Award - becoming an idol for many more millions of fans and artists alike. At the 2008 World Music Awards, Beyonce was honored the legend award for Outstanding Contribution to the Arts. She was also honored with a Billboard Millennium Award at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards, for recognizing her career achievements and influence in the music industry. This is a small snippet of the awards given since she was a member of Destiny's Child!

With a grand total of 16 Grammys and album sales of over 75 million worldwide she's one of the most prolific and successful recording artists around!

Bey, made her runway modelling debut at Tom Ford’s Spring/Summer 2011 fashion show. In February 2011, LA Times magazine placed her at number twenty-five on its list of the 50 Most Beautiful Women in Film. In the same month, she appeared on the cover of the March issue of the French fashion magazine, L'Officiel, in honor of the magazine's 90th anniversary, and in tribute to Nigerian musician Fela Kuti.

Beyonce and her mum introduced House of Deréon, a contemporary women's fashion line, in 2005. The concept is inspired by three generations of women in their family, with the name Deréon paying tribute to B's grandmother, Agnèz Deréon, who worked as a seamstress. The store, which is available across the United States and Canada, sells sportswear, denim along with faux fur, outerwear and accessories including handbags. She also teamed up with House of Brands, a local shoe company, to produce a range of footwear for House of Deréon. I'd love to get my hands on a pair of Dereon shoes - I really would!!

I was lucky enough to see Beyonce on tour last year. It was honestly one of the best experiences of my life so far and I don't think I'll ever forget how awesome her performances were. Especially when she donned the bridal-esque gown to belt out "Halo" - wow!

Kanye West and Jay-Z also performed and my little sister was completely freaked out by my reaction to this - screaming like a crazy lady I was!! Her alter-ego Sasha Fierce also made an appearance!!

Some people will think that's sad (my sister being one) but the show was amazing and she I think she has the most incredible voice! Pure talent - no wonder she's so successful!

Next year, 2012, will mark the 15th anniversary of Beyoncé as a pre-eminent member of the musical fraternity. When most "stars" these days last around 3 years, this is an absolutely incredible achievement! Proving that she is truely a star!

Her 30th birthday is fast approaching but is Beyonce phased? Nope, for her it's not a cause of trepidation but one of celebration. "I am so excited about turning 30. It actually is mind-boggling to me that people get, you know, scared or frightened or 'Oh my God, I'm 30!' it's so old. That's ridiculous. I don't know whether it's because a lot of my friends are a lot older than I am and I always feel young and I can't wait to grow older and wiser and be more comfortable in my skin but 30 is like the best age you can ever be. You're a woman but you're still young and you know, I'm so looking forward to it."

It's just another benchmark in the life of this incredible performer, pop star and woman. So down to earth and caring - with the brain of a complete business woman - just incredible! But maybe that's my Beyonce obsessed mind talking?

What more can I say? She's taking over the world one tour at a time and I couldn't be happier about it!!

Who's your favourite "powerful woman"? I'd love to know...

Haul: False Lash and Budget Make up Loves

Yep, another one - I think I'm out of control at the moment, when it comes to shopping!

I'm a very lucky girl as I've been able to treat myself this month!!!

After a long long wait, that Estee Lauder lipstick is finally mine! Pure colour, sensuous Rouge!! Smells like White chocolate - it's divine!
I also decided that it's finally the time for me to invest in a Proper Foundation.

I've now moved from my trusty Maybelline Matte Mousse over to the dream that is Estee Lauder Double Wear!

*Cue heavenly music - AHHHHH*

Loving this in "bone". It's the perfect shade for my extremely pale skin and I love the full coverage! I'm not confident that it really lasts a full day, its had the ultimate test during a 16 hour working day... Definitely an improvement on the mousse though!

I've been coveting this lipstick for months and finally purchased as a 21st birthday present to myself (yay)! I'll be saving this baby for my night out in Cardiff on Saturday!

What do we have next... Oh, I went a bit mental on the false lash front - my collection has now reached (and passed) the 50 pair mark. I'm slightly ashamed to admit that!

I couldn't decide! So I got a day pair, evening pair and full on HUGE night out pair, which will also be saved for Saturday!

These are my favourites - I've never been interested in the Girls Aloud lashes until I spotted these! They look so natural and delicate.

(swatched - badly)

Next I made full use of my Boots £5 off No.7 voucher and grabbed this blusher in number 12 - Coral Flush.

I think it's beautiful, I only need to use the tiniest bit else I look like a clown... But it's wonderfully pigmented and I'm sure it'll last forever! Not bad for £4.00 eh?!

I think I went a bit overboard on the eye products this time... Meet my new 17 mascaras!
After reading a review by Fee over at Make Up Savvy, I knew I had to pick up one of these awesome leopard print mascaras!

I've not tried it yet as I've been completely obsessed with this pink beast!

Falsifeye by 17 is amazing! I love the chunky mascara brushes and this works like a dream - so impressed 17!!

Also an idea stolen from Fee - you can get this 17 palette FREE when you buy any two 17 products in Boots. Great deal!

Sorry for the lack of swatches of this one... I promise the eyeshadows at the top are beautiful - the pink one in particular is very similar to one from Sleek's "Oh so special" palette.

After using the sheer lipstick in this palette (bottom right) I HAD to buy the full size lippy!
It's the perfect colour (called Belle) and is almost the same as my lips - but better!

What a Dream - and for only a few pounds!!

(swatched - badly again, sorry!)

What else can I show you? Hmmmm...

I picked up these lipglosses...

The Maybelline Coloursensational Cremegloss is a dream - totally un-sticky and so shiny!!

The Barry M limited edition gloss was free in Boots when purchased with an Impulse body spray (not photographed, sorry) and it smells AMAZING!!! Like sweeties!

Not sure what this shade is called though, it doesn't seem to say - someone correct me please.

:o)

Just a couple more things.

To fuel my nail varnish addiction, a top coat by Nails Inc (did you know they stocked Nails Inc in Boots?!?! How fab!) which dries in 45 seconds - it actually works and for £6.50 I should think so too!

I picked up my favourite day perfume as another birthday treat to myself. The beautiful "sweetheart" by Ghost

And that's it!!!! I hope I've not bored you all too much - would you like to see more posts like this?
